What is an Alcothon? and what happens there? For a number of reasons Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and other Events can be a very hard time for alcoholics. There is often a lot of drinking being done at family gatherings, and for people who are away from family etc, the day can feel very lonely or depressing. Because of this, many AA groups get together and provide extra support to stay sober on holidays, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas etc.

Here at the District 17 Alcothon, we fellowship, eat together and hold meetings through out the day, Food is provided but we do also ask our members for donations of food. You do not have to contribute to attend. So come join us at our next event.

Please consider stepping up to run an alcothon or being part of a committee, we have a lot of information we can share, like everything in this fellowship, you won’t be alone.  Contact any district member or your GSR and make it known, we really need your help.
